New codeshare flights to Russia
Russia is becoming more and more popular among European travelers. Both British Airways and Air France have signed a code-share agreemnets with Russian airlines.
Passengers from Europe are getting a better access to Russian destinations via Moscow and St. Petersburg.
British Airways codesharing with S7 Airlines
Following to the S7 Airlines entry to Oneworld Alliance, the codesharing agreement has been signed on February 8, 2011. This will allow passengers traveling from London Heathrow (LHR) to book a direct flight to many Russian cities. Codeshare flights will be operated via Moscow Domodedovo airport to Krasnodar, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad or Ufa. The flights are already bookable on British Airways website.
Air France cooperating with Rossiya
Another partnership has been announced by Air France. Codeshare flights will be available with Rossiya – Russian Airlines. This agreement includes two daily flights on the route Paris – Charles De Gaulle (CDG) – St.Petersburg and further connecting flights. Both Rossiya and Air France passengers have a direct access to destinations available from St. Petersburg and Paris airports respectively.
