Cabin crew lost in court against British Airways

Back to news

Updates on the ongoing battle of British Airways with it's cabin crew. A follow up to our latest article informing about the dispute. The latest round won by BA: court appeal by trade union rejected.

High Court rejecting the appeal

The High Court has rejected the trade union's appeal regarding the cabin crew reduction on BA flights. The long-going dispute has been started in November last year when British Airways made the decision. This has been upheld by the High Court in February. A legal challenge by Unite followed. The British court of appeal has just released it's decision ruling in BA's favour.

The decision was welcomed by BA. They have stated that the changes had made a „substantial contribution“ toward improving the financial situation. During the first half of this financial year, BA returned to profitability for the first time in past two years.
