Iberia baggage allowance 2013 – a short summary
Flying with Iberia and wondering how much baggage you can take? Read on about all the restrictions applicable on Iberia flights.
Iberia – cabin baggage allowance
You can carry one piece of cabin baggage on Iberia flights. Its maximum size is 55×40×20 cm. You must be able to fit it into measurement supports at the airport and into the overhead compartment in the aircraft. The weight of your cabin baggage should not be more than 10 kg.
You can also take some additional items with you onboard, for example a small handbag or a laptop case. Those travelling with infants can carry a nursery bag with baby food.
Iberia – baggage allowance
Each passenger is allowed to check-in one bag weighing no more than 23 kg free of charge. Dimensions of baggage must not exceed 158 linear centimetres. Make sure the dimensions of your suitcase are within approved limit to avoid paying extra fees.
Remember that when travelling on a code share flight, the baggage limitation printed on your ticket will apply.
Iberia – excess baggage
If your checked luggage weighs more than 23 kg, additional fees will apply. You will pay €100 for flights with origin or destination in Central or South America. For other flights, the fee is €60 per bag. No item can exceed 32 kg.
