British Airways baggage allowance 2013. A short summary
When planning to travel with British Airways, xheck out all the essential information about baggage allowance on their flights.
British Airways – hand baggage
You can carry one piece of cabin baggage with you while flying with British Airways. Its maximum dimensions are 56×45×25 cm and its weight must not be more than 23 kg. However, passengers have to be able to place their bags to the overhead compartments without help.
Additionally, you can take a laptop bag or a handbag with you onboard. Its dimensions must not exceed 45×36×20 cm.
British Airways – free baggage allowance
On British Airways flights, you are allowed to travel with one piece of free checked baggage of maximum weight of 23 kg. Its dimensions must not exceed 90×75×43 cm. While travelling to and from Brazil, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, and on connecting flights between India and USA, Bermuda or Canada, two pieces of checked baggage are included in your ticket price.
Passengers travelling with young children can check in a fully collapsible pushchair and a car seat.
British Airways – excess baggage
If your bag is heavier than 23 kg, you will be charged an extra fare of £40 at the airport. In case your baggage weighs more than 32 kg, it will be shipped as a cargo.
